DEPUTY PRESIDENT II (WELFARE UNIT)

Profile

Hanum Ya’akub graduated from Tokyo University of Science as a Bio Engineer in 2007 and is currently her research interest in the University of Manchester, doing a PhD in Medicine. She was elected as IKRAM UKE’s Deputy President and Head of Women’s section shortly after arriving in the UK in 2015 due to her charisma and credibility. Before coming to the UK, she was actively involved with IKRAM Malaysia, holding various leadership posts:

+ Head of East Asia Zone, IKRAM Overseas Bureau
+ Deputy Head of University Student Development section, IKRAM Shah Alam
+ Head of the Women’s Leadership and Development section, IKRAM Pahang
+ Committee member of Tarbiyah section, IKRAM Kuantan

Hanum envisions IKRAM UKE as a platform for the community in the UK and Ireland to self-develop and contribute back to the society. She hopes that the training and coaching provided will further enrich IKRAM UKE members to be more versatile and excellent activists.
